With Apple TV, multiple streaming services are integrated onto a single platform across multiple devices for ease of choice, use and subscription. Which would signal that one could possibly watch Game of Thrones, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the latest Star Wars movie from a single app, and likewise, pay from a single app. The same purchase options – buy, rent or stream will still be available.

Moreover, it connects all content seamlessly across devices – TVs, Laptops, iMacs, and even mobile. Fully integrated with Airplay, an Apple TV user can watch his favorite show on his phone while commuting back from work, and continue watching that same program right where it left off on the TV set when he reaches home.

While the app will be available on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch and the Mac (on the macOS Catalina), it will also be available on select Samsung smart TVs, and will come to Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony and VIZIO platforms in the future.

Apple TV+, Apple’s own streaming service, will be available from November 1st onwards at S$6.98 per month and will premiere with series like The Morning Show, a cutthroat drama about the world of morning news starring Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell. There is also See, an epic drama starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard, in a post-apocalyptic future where a virus has decimated humankind and rendered the remaining population blind.

For consumers, any purchased movies and television series, will be moved to the Apple TV app and likewise, any purchased music will be shifted to the Apple Music app.

For distributors and filmmakers with their existing titles on the iTunes store, whatever there is on the iTunes store will be moved to the Apple TV platform. There will be no need for any re-encoding. Posters and thumbnails might need to be reuploaded to fit the dimensions of icons in the new UI, but that’s about it. And of course we will continue to provide our clients with the analytics critical to the continued success of their films.

We, at A Little Seed, an Apple TV certified aggregator, will remain committed to helping filmmakers, producers, and distributors extend the lifespan of their films after their theatrical and/or film festival runs through the Apple TV platform.
